FAQ about SJS Leadership

Q.  What is TBOE?

A.  TBOE stands for Total Board of Education, otherwise the school board.  It is an advisory committee that meets to establish guidelines and look at policies and programs for the school, adult education and parish religious education programs and the parish athletics. The TBOE works with both parish councils and executive teams.

The board consists of 10 voting members who are SJS parents. Five are from St. James and five are from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.  There is a representatives from each parish, two SJS faculty representatives, two representatives from the SJS Athletic Association and the Home and School President.  In addition, Mr. Crum, Mrs. Arnold, Ms. Kusek, Fr. Richard and Fr. Reiser are all part of the board.  The current board President is Joe Clites.

The TBOE also has five main committees; Public Relations, Recruitment and Retention, Faith Formation, Finance and Development.  The board meets five times during the year and each committee also meets on a regular basis.
